Aloe Vera (Psoriasis and Dermatitis Friendly)

I have struggled a lot with controlling my dermatitis in the past. Soooo many products (I assume some foods too) flare up my skin, but I did find that this really works well on my skin.

Aloe Vera!

I love all natural remedies, and this thus far has worked amazingly. I used this, and I swear within days my face completely cleared up. Whenever I feel a dry spot coming on, I immediately rub some on. This has cleared up any acne I had as well. Love Love Love!!

Aloe Vera does have a slight scent to it, but once it dries (which it quickly seeps into the skin, no residue) I don't really smell it. (I should add I wear foundation, so that may cover it up?)

Here's what I do:

I first wash my face with either of these scrubs; A Raw Honey Face Wash, A Greek Yogurt Mask, A Raw Milk wash or plain coconut oil. (I just rub coconut oil onto my skin, and wipe it off with a dry rag). I have yet to find a commercial face wash or soap that doesn't irritate my skin. I also only use bottled water (after the raw honey/yogurt mask) to rinse my face. I found that my tap water was flaring up my skin from the chlorine.

After I've washed my face, I take a small sliver from my aloe vera plant, squeeze the gel out, and rub all over my face. A little bit goes a long way! After my skin dries (a minute or so), I then add a tiny bit of tepezchouite pomade, or coconut oil, and continue with my makeup routine.

(At the time I wrote this post, I had finished my Aloe Vera plant, and found Aloe Vera juice at my local Whole Foods. It worked well, but I highly suggest using the plant if you can find it. It worked much better, and the juice in the bottle only has a shelf life of 2 weeks once opened.)

I take care not to get any onto my lips (its very bitter), and I take care not to get into me eyes or nose.

Have you tried any natural remedies that help with acne or psoriasis?
